Aerospace Account Manager - Sealants, Adhesives, Composite Solutions


 


Our client is a very profitable, fast paced, rapidly growing, global manufacturer. They are using over 50 years of science to bring breakthrough technology in adhesives, noise reduction, sealants, and composite solutions to the Aerospace industry with locations in North America, Europe, China, Japan, Korea, Brazil.


Our ideal candidate is a dynamic mix of technical problem solving skills and strong interpersonal abilities. This person will have the ability to multi task, react quickly to changes in customer and project demands, and facilitate a collaborative approach to problem solving.



Position Requirements:



  • 5+ years of Sales Experience in Aerospace Industry

  • Bachelor of Science Degree Preferred.



  • Must have a Proven Sales Record.

  • Technical or Engineering Background preferred.

  • No relocation is required

  • Ability to travel


 


Responsibilities:  


 



  • Develop Customer Relationship Management Strategy & Make decisions on when to travel to customers.


 



  • Facilitate introduction of appropriate technical strengths & directly generate customer quotes, helping to define technical project targets, solving problems, and prototype evaluation


 



  • Turn customer inquiries into sales/value and handle through internet, conference/trade shows, trade journal inquiries, direct calls, etc.


 



  • Strategically handle customer issues through Six Sigma DMAIC problem resolution or other format that the specific customer. Establish ownership and responsibility. Make sure customer satisfaction is achieved in a timely manner.


 



  • Create a competitive advantage to grow the business through market analysis and competitive benchmarking. Maximize profitability by performing market analysis based on customers visited, strategy to increase sales volume, product/service mix strategy, etc.


 



  • Determine advertising needs to enhance the sales of our products (e.g. sales literature, internet capabilities, customer focused seminars, etc.) to our current/potential customers.  Assist in determining what conferences we should participate in and help with creating displays, literature, etc.


 



  • As the commercial leader of the aerospace program/project team, participate in the management/execution of program/projects (e.g. commercialization process, product quote, product kick-off….).


 



  • Understand cost impact, review, and approve all engineering changes for which sales responsibility exists.  The financial management of all engineering changes, related documents associated with the kick-off of new parts as well as any information needed to obtain payment including the securing of Purchase Orders for parts and any associated tooling is the responsibility of the Sales Person.


 



  • Provide support and lead efforts to support new product opportunities and verifications involving customer teams R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Plant Support, the customer and our suppliers. 


 


The expectation of this responsibility is to communicate to both internal and external customer teams in an effective, timely manner to resolve any matters deemed to be a roadblock in the development of new technology.
